The Day My To-Do List Tried to Kill Me (And What I Learned About Life)
It was a Monday morning, and like any responsible adult, I decided to make a to-do list. After all, how else could I tackle the mountain of tasks that lay ahead? With a fresh cup of coffee and the optimism of someone who has clearly forgotten last week's fiasco, I grabbed my favorite pen and got to work.

- Wake up – Check. (This is always a good start.)
- Make breakfast – Toast counts, right? Check.
- Exercise – Running from the kitchen to the bathroom three times because I forgot my phone totally qualifies. Check.
- Write a 1,000-word blog post – Easy. I’ll just knock this out in 20 minutes.
- Organize the garage – Shouldn’t take more than an hour.
Learn to play the ukulele – How hard can it be? It has only four strings.
The list went on. And on. And on. By the time I was finished, it was so long it could have doubled as a scroll in a medieval castle. But I was undeterred. "Today," I declared to my uninterested cat, "I will conquer this list!"
The cat, by the way, was the first to know this was a terrible idea.
