I can not call it stupid though it sounded like it.
Your points clear and precise but we live in our own generation; things I saw that happened when I was a kid, I called many of them "nonsense" but as I grew, I started perceiving those things as "wisdom" and the acts of nowadays as "nonsense."

But let's called it what it is "Evolving", Life is evolving, things that doesn't make sense before are starting to make sense now. My niece asked my one day, "why did you wake up very early every morning for work that pays not as much as I earn while staying on my bed all day with my phone?"
Honestly speaking, I was speechless.
All I could say is "dear, you are too young to understand" so he changed the question "when will I be too old to know?" and he keeps on asking me anytime we meet "Am I too old to know now?"

You see, my point is not to neglect or reject these behaviors of nowadays.
But to live in your own life horizon and allow them to live in theirs.
